A rattlesnake slid into the Roza irrigation district camp bathhouse in Yakima Washington. 15 naked men exited the bathhouse in alarm before supervisor Swan Dahlberg killed the reptile. The men returned to their showers after the incident.
Labor Secretary Frances Perkins announced a three man federal steel mediation board to investigate hearings and make findings of fact. Charles P Taft Lloyd K Garrison and Edward F McGrady will lead the board with headquarters in Cleveland under executive order with Roosevelt’s approval.
