Report from Pant comes a crash involving an auto train near Blanchester resulting in two fatalities. Details remain scarce as investigators probe the scene and authorities warn of possible delays on the line.
Washington dispatch says James Farley, Democratic campaign chief, visited Capitol Hill with a private lunch in God's room attended by senators and Vice President Garner. He declared there would be no more monkey business and warned against outside interference in local primaries while claiming no part of the fight was his or the President's.
Major Roy W. Camblin reported a bombing plane with four crewmen and eight aboard disintegrated in the air near Delavan. a preliminary inquiry cites lightning strike or storm-induced stress as possible causes. An arms board opened a formal inquiry at the crash site.
The Bureau of Air Commerce Investigating Board found the crew acted reasonably and faulted a probable fire in the right engine accessory section of the United Air Lines plane. The blaze accompanied the crash that killed 10 on May 24.

Southern members of the joint committee backed a compromise on wage hour laws setting a $0.25 bedrock minimum in year one, rising to $0.30 next year and up to $0.49 in seven years. Industrial boards would tailor minima by industry, with exemptions broadened after year seven and regional differentials possible. An administrator would have broad discretion over pay standards.
A noon quake rocked Great Britain Belgium Northern France and the Netherlands causing swaying buildings toppled chimneys and brief dizziness. Belgium reported the severest shocks in its history with injuries from collapsing flimsy structures.
In Lake City South Carolina on June 11 a 500 strong posse with bloodhounds hunted through swamps for L. H. Goodman 23 accused of killing white plantation owner Lawellyn Singletary. Sheriff W R Wall said Goodman faced the charge as searchers sought the trail through the night.
James Roosevelt announces he will not seek public office in Massachusetts this fall. A Boston citizens committee led by Charles Maliotis accepts the decision with regret while praising his qualifications. Roosevelt says he must first complete further studies and separate from Washington before considering any future elective post.
Secretary Hull said the United States condemns the bombing of civilians and warned that State Department pressure would curb sales of American bombers to any for use against civilians. He cited Spain and China, stressing the need to discourage aircraft sales to those who target civilians.
Henry Picard of Hershey Pennsylvania led the U S Open for 36 holes with 140 then shot a 40 in the third round. His surge faded as Dick Metz of Chicago overtook the lead to pace the final actions.

Federal agents announce Franklin Pierce McCall confessed to abducting five year old James Bailey Cash Jr in Princeton Florida. McCall says he entered the boy's room placed handkerchiefs over face and demanded ransom while denying any plan to harm the child. A coroner's jury weighs charges including murder and kidnapping for ransom as State Attorney Worley ready for grand jury.
State Tax Commissioner Walter W. Mitchell announced that Ohio sales tax on candy would be collected. He noted an Akron court restraining order on revoking a merchant license for not collecting the tax did not rule on whether candy is a food and exempt from the tax.
Washington June 11 President Roosevelt invited Senator Gillette Democrat Iowa to the White House for luncheon tomorrow. Gillette won Iowa's Democratic senatorial primary last week over Representative Otha Wearin who had endorsements from Harry Hopkins and James Roosevelt the President's son secretary.
Charges of deliberately stealing cattle and writing checks to Santa Claus were filed today with the State Inspection Bureau by Examiner David L. Rupert. Former workhouse farm manager Calvin Ogden is accused of stealing 21 head of cattle and selling them for under a third of their value, while present manager P. H. Bruning is linked to a $15 city funds check for Santa Claus.
Three men died and another was seriously burned in a night explosion at the Boothton mine of the Southern Coal & Coke Company 34 miles southwest of Birmingham. Local authorities investigated the incident and identified the casualties.
Columbus report notes June 11 entry of 60 candidates seeking statewide offices including U S senator governor and four Supreme Court posts. 117 aspirants chased 22 district races while State Assembly bids fill August 9 ballots. Armco, the American Rolling Mill Co, in Cincinnati, challenged Wagner act violation charges linked to NLRB authority over municipal elections. Attorney Cornelius J. Petzhold moved to strike a charge of campaigning in Ashland Kentucky against union-sympathetic candidates. The May 1 complaint alleged anti union activity at the Ashland plant, including cooperation with the National Manufacturers Organization to defeat bargaining efforts and pressure employees over unionization.
A passenger train struck a car at Lazenby street crossing in Blanchester injuring two men and fatally injuring two women. Mrs. Sylvania Boughner and Mrs. Dora Sawyers died. James Sawyers and Albert Johnson were treated for injuries. Coroner ruled accidental. Funeral plans set for Mrs. Boughner Monday.
A slowly moving tornado struck Clyde Texas killing 13 residents of the 700 population last night. Dozens more are missing and at least 40 injured as volunteers comb debris and roads are disrupted by downed lines delaying emergency alerts.
