All-Weather Chief Gillespie to Leave CCAF in June
Col J M Gillespie 52 year old chief of the All Weather Flying Division will retire from the Air Force June 30 after 30 years service. He will leave Clinton County AFB June 15 on one day leave before final retirement after two years as AWFD commander. He led an AWFD crew on an automatic C 54 test to England and back. A West Point graduate, he has logged over 6000 flying hours and holds a command pilot rating. He has served at Wright Field and in South Central American countries and two World Wars, with numerous decorations including the Legion of Merit.

Judge Sees Coal Strike as Tragedy

Flood Crest Threatens Clatskanie and Portland Area
