Air Force Man From Blanchester Killed in Schweinfurt Raid
The body of S Sgt Stanley H Larrick son of Mrs Lavora Larrick of Blanchester is being returned from Europe aboard the Barney Kirschbaum for burial in the States. He was killed October 14 1943 when his Flying Fortress was shot down over Schweinfurt Germany. He had entered the Air Force September 28 1942 and served overseas less than two months. He was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and the Citation of Honor. He was a 1938 Lynchburg high school graduate and played on the basketball team.

Pfc Kenneth L Williams of Wilmington killed in Luxembourg on September 27 1944 will be honored with a military committal service Friday at Sugar Grove cemetery. He was born February 21 1923 and graduated Adams Township High School in 1949. He entered the Army October 23 1943 and served overseas in June 1944 earning the Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge. Survivors include six brothers, with services to be held after calling at Lukens-Reynolds Funeral Home.
