Santa Clinton County visit welcomes Wilminton crowd
Santa Claus arrived in Wilmington on Saturday and drew more than 400 children who talked with him and received treats. He stood on the Courthouse lawn 6 to 9 p m nightly and 3 to 5 6 to 9 p m Saturday with a long 60 foot line. The Wilmington high school band led a procession to his stand as Mayor Nichols received the city keys. Tickets for a free 10 a m cartoon show at the Murphy Theater were distributed nightly while seats lasted through merchant and industry support.

Decorated Tree Taken as Evidence
Cincinnati police seized a seven foot decorated Christmas tree from Julia and Jewell Patton four year old twins as evidence after they were charged with petit larceny along with a 17 year old cousin for taking the tree from a neighborhood grocery Cecil Patton age 18 was also taken into custody. Their father reportedly is deceased and their mother works as a waitress.

Funeral services for Herschel Collins 33 fatally burned December 5 when his home burned will be Tuesday at 2 p m at Turner Miller Funeral Home Hillsboro.
