Woodstock Ont Dec 17 Mrs Elizabeth Tilford 56 mother of nine was hanged in Woodstock county jail for poisoning her third husband. She was the first woman hanged in Ontario in 62 years.
Relatives of Caleb J. Milne IV sped between New York and Pennsylvania as federal and local authorities hunted for him and presumed abductors. An aunt and a brother left Woodstock while a Justice agent traveled from Milne's mansion in Germantown after reports of a $50,000 ransom.
