James F. Post dies after lingering illness
James F. Post, longtime Wilmington railroad official and Civic leader, dies after a lingering illness. A son of James F. Post and Mary A. Russell, he rose from freight clerk to assistant treasurer of Atlantic Coast Line and held key posts in mergers and local city service. He chaired school trustees, served as acting mayor, and was active in Grace Methodist Church and several clubs. He was described as a Christian gentleman.
