A Petrograd telegram reports a special train departed for Sibena last night carrying 50 Americans from the embassy and military staff. The train also carried 40 Japanese and several Chinese and Siamese. In Petrograd remain 102 Americans including 20 women and four children.

Americans Raid in Chemin Des Dames Escapes with No Injuries
Twenty six American volunteers participated in a Franco American raid near Chemin Des Dames on Saturday. The assault followed a 5 30 to 6 35 am barrage with French shells guiding the attack. The raiders pursued German troops through trenches and captured some positions but returned to No Man's Land before being caught in a German barrage. Five Germans and six Frenchmen were wounded but no Americans. Prisoners aged 16 to 40 were mostly under nourished and had factory or farm backgrounds.

First Libery motor airplane to make public flight next week

German Engineer Arrested in Cuba
Havana on February 25 Julius Messer a German mining engineer from Santiago de Cuba was arrested by Federal officers and interned in the Cabanas fortress charged with espionage and propaganda among laborers to disrupt the sugar crop. Messer is said to be an intimate friend of George Hillebrant a German chemist and alleged spy who is also a prisoner at Cabanas.
