The latest list shows 102 deaths from the Red Cross ship Florizel wreck with 44 of 146 on board saved. The casualty update confirms continued rescue and recovery operations as officials release the new tally.
Forty three aboard the Florizel were rescued after striking rocks near Cape Race in rough seas. Survivors include several crew members and passengers from St Johns and New York. identified dead are listed, with Prospero aiding and further rescue ships en route.

Washington reports an attack by Mexican bandits on an oil company paymaster’s boat at Tampico. One American died and three were wounded, including J P Mennett and Dr Ionoane. Bandits reportedly took money from the American payroll and looted the cashier at San Geronimo, with Carranza and rebel troops nearby awaiting further developments.
Washington February 25. The first of a series of wartime labor conferences opened with ten delegates five from labor and five from capital. Two substitutes will be named to represent the public. The sessions aim to set the basis of relations and a national labor policy during the war.

San Francisco February 25 Two cabinet members of President Wilson will be subpoenaed to testify for the defense of 31 men charged with conspiring to foment rebellion in India. Secretary Lansing and Postmaster General Burleson will be questioned. former Secretary Bryan is named as a witness.
German war office announced Pernau, a Russian seaport in Livonia, was occupied. The advance to Dorpat saw 3,000 Russians taken prisoner as a flying detachment covered 130 miles in five and a half days. The southern advance under General vVonGarns reached Zhitomir.
London February 25 Ensign Kuyler the Russian commander in chief was shot and slightly wounded in Petrograd by a Socialist. Krylenko sustained a neck wound. The assailant was arrested, according to Exchange Telegraph from Amsterdam.

Chicago Feb 25 Joseph E Davies chairman of the Federal Trade Commission announced his resignation to enter the Wisconsin Senate race. He will leave his post to pursue the political campaign. The announcement marks a new chapter in Davies career as a national figure.
Costa Rica restored order after a revolt led by Rogelio Fernandez Guell was crushed. Reports say German agents supported the uprising and funds for the deposed president Alfredo Gonzales were cited, while Washington kept recognition of Tinoco’s government unchanged.
Berlin reports note Chancellor Count von Hertling will speak on Russia and peace terms. German forces push into Volhynia toward Zhitomir, reach near Kiev, with large advances along the Baltic and Ukraine fronts. Western front activity remains limited with artillery duels and minor raids near Ypres Arras and the Chemin des Dames sector.
