New York officials report no confirmed news on the safe arrival of British liners Baltic and Saxonia from New York with European sailings slowed by the international situation. Freight buildup grows though not yet dire, as several thousand export cars are sidetracked in Chicago and Dutch-flag ships shift routes via Newport News and Norfolk awaiting orders. St. Louis and St. Paul sailings remain unchanged.
