Cutter Seminole Returns to Port After Yacht Rescue
The cutter Seminole returned to the Custom House wharf just before 11 a.m. after aiding the yacht Minnesota owned by John A. Berkey on a voyage from Philadelphia toward Florida. Lookout Station life savers helped float the grounded vessel and ensured its safety. The Minnesota, which sailed with the Seminole earlier, was unharmed. The Seminole's absence was due to mending a broken anchor chain and fog delays near the bar.
