London report states Prime Minister Bonar Law has declined the king's invitation to form a cabinet. It is expected David Lloyd George will be asked to form a government. The Exchange Telegraph confirms it has authority for the announcement.
New York December 6 American railroads ordered 56 530 freight cars in November costing about 83 million dollars. Foreign interests bought another thousand cars for 1.5 million. Domestic roads ordered 342 locomotives and 491 passenger cars while foreigners bought 633 locomotives. Rails bought totaled 737 000 tons, bringing November equipment purchases to 155 551 000 dollars.

In Belgrade Montana a man named Maggiani was injured when a Northern Pacific switch engine struck him as he walked with a woman. His wooden leg was crushed and he plans to sue the railway for 35 damages as a result. The report notes the leg was wooden and the injury serious.
