Brunswick seeks action on ferry proposal split with New Hanover
Brunswick county votes against New Hanover August 1 1917 plan to acquire and operate the Brunswick Bridge and Perry Company property with a one third two thirds toll split. The Brunswick board favors an equitable joint effort under 1913 or 1915 laws to ensure cheaper ferry service and plans to share costs by tax values, with options to unite for improved service or have the two counties run the utility jointly. Major Joseph W Little notes Brunswick will gather data for an early adjustment and considers the 1917 counter proposal impractical.
