Sunday Picnic for Logan and Howard Pupils Fetes By PTA
The Logan Howard Parent-Teacher Association hosts a picnic at Wattman park for all pupils from Logan and Howard schools. If wet weather, events move to the Howard school gymnasium. Games include dashes wheelbarrow races pie eating contests and chariot and relay races with a 2 pm band start and 2 30 pm athletic program led by Daniel M. Davis.

The Wilmette Village board approved contracts totaling about 150000 for paving streets alleys and sidewalks. J J McCarthy company to resurfaced Forest and Prairie avenues and 15th street at costs totaling roughly 84 thousand dollars. Paul Reschke of Winnetka awarded multiple alley projects and street improvements totaling about 32 thousand dollars and 16th street work. Kreske company to install water service and drains for about 1885 dollars. J F Foley company to lay sidewalks on Wilmette avenue and Thornwood avenue for around 9120 dollars. Prices reflect lowest bids from several bidders.
