Officer Louis Popple, on his way home from the police station, found 36 year old Bive Lovgreen at 3350 Sheffield Avenue attempting to cut his throat with glass. Lovgreen, a Sweden native, was despondent and held overnight at the station. Friends from Chicago went to Wilmette to take him back to Sweden.
