Harmony Party endorsed in Wilmette voting meeting
The 1933 Wilmette Harmony convention at St Augustine's Parish House endorsed P. Dobbs for Village President and Carry Miller for Village Treasurer on the Village Party ticket. It nominated three trustees Carl Zipprich James Hoffman and Edward Hildreth and Earl Pettibone for police magistrate. The group also adopted the name Harmony Party and outlined platform goals on cooperative government, qualified candidates, zoning, financial plans and local control. A second slate for Village Trustee positions was named to oppose the Harmony nominees.
