Murphy's Lodge defeated Red Devils 29 to 18 in a second half rally. R. Meter led Murphy's with 13 points as Wilmette Confectionery beat Fa-Va-Ells 36 to 22. Rovers toppled Alumni 32 to 15 with Freeman scoring 15. Hawkeyes took sole first in D league with 32 to 18 over Blow Outs, Magner and Neukranz 10 each. Badminton Trials Add Room at Howard Gym

Space remains for badminton players at Howard gym on Monday and Friday nights from 7 to 10. Try the sport and become a fan, and enter the Wilmette badminton tournament to be held soon at the same facility.

Tap Dancing Class Expands At Center

Tap dancing at the Community Center grows quickly with a new drill called Drums. The free classes invite more children, with enrollment at the Recreation office or at the Center. Sessions run every Tuesday afternoon.

Second Annual Amateur Show Trials at Howard School

The article notes auditions for the second annual amateur show at the Community Center on Friday. Fourteen acts qualified and organizers expect this year to eclipse last year’s grand show. The amateur show is scheduled for Thursday at 8 o’clock in the Howard School auditorium.
