Sudden Death of Stranger in City
L Edwards of Seattle arrived in the city to take a boss position with Guthrie Construction Co. He fell ill with a virulent pneumonia and died Monday night at Whittenberg hospital. The body rests at Slater's morgue awaiting disposition. He leaves a Seattle widow who asked for shipment of the body home. He was a Moose lodge member in Reno, according to papers found.

Principal B. B. Betz takes twenty seven Indian children ages 8 to 17 to the Fort Totten Industrial School after arriving Monday night from Medicine Lake Montana aboard the Skiddo. Bonanza farmer John Grandin dies at 76 in Michigan
News of the death of John Livingston Grandin a founder of North Dakota’s Grandin farm in Trail county arrives. He died at Battle Creek Michigan after stomach trouble surgery at age 76. The Grandin brothers once settled Jay Cooke by receiving 72000 acres in Trail county in the 1870s as North Dakota opened as a desert. The land later returned to the brothers and was sold off in parcels.
