Milwaukee dispatch reports Dan Patch has run his last race as doctors diagnosed permanent lameness in both hind legs. The 1:55 pacer, valued at $50,000, was scratched from a scheduled match with Minor Heir at the state fair park and is set for retirement at Savage's farm near St. Paul.
