La Brandt Sentenced to Indeterminate Penitentiary Term
Wilford LaBrandt, arrested near Stanley on horse stealing charges, was sentenced by Judge Goss in Stanley to an indeterminate term in the state penitentiary at Bismarck, two to five years. He previously suffered appendicitis in Ward County jail and was treated at Northwestern hospital before transport to Bismarck by Sheriff Shronach of Mountrail County.

Record Ford auto train through White Pigeon to Minneapolis
Last Friday night a special Ford train passed White Pigeon en route from Detroit to Minneapolis. The 1700 foot train carried 123 cars, valued at 123.00, consigned to Northwest Auto of Minneapolis. Freight charges totaled 3403. The shipment marked the largest single auto shipment from one factory to one consignee.
