Reports show very good crop across regions

Weather last week hindered threshing but grain handling continued. East of here wheat turns out well with yields from Scott Long at two fields totaling 19 and 24 1 2 bushels per acre. J F Emrich receives five year term and L Townsend three years in the state penitentiary for the assault and robbery of Fred Hubele in Gardner. Hubele, a German, was beaten and robbed in a box car and straw stack near the railroad yards. Townsend identified by Hubele via a hat band. Both pleaded guilty and are to begin their sentences tonight. Cass County sheriff and deputies commended for the crime capture.
