A railway accident near Wolf Point at 5 45 a m tore apart Engine 1548 killing Engineer S Pitman and Fireman Sylvester Shepherd. Brakeman G W Hoppe was severely burned, Joe Maravis survived with a broken leg and Oscar Reddig escaped. Inquest planned as rescuers treated the injured and took bodies to Glasgow.
