As of January 1, 1915, 39 states had state aid laws, total road spending since 1895 reached about 211.9 million dollars, with 38 states having over 54.9 million available for 1915. Total expenditures in 1914 from all funds were about 250.8 million. The report notes 2,278,131 miles of public roads, 247,490 surfaced.
