Milk Test Report Shows Reactors Across Several Herds
A second Krieger milk test report lists multiple farmers with cow counts and reactor findings for August and September. Notable reactors appeared in E Laird’s two cows, Wm Hartman’s twenty head, P Tone’s twenty four, and 8 others with no reactors. Reactors were removed from affected herds. Springbrook Bank Robbed by Expert Gang
A gang of three to four men blew the Springbrook State Bank at about four o'clock yesterday morning. They used nitro glycerine and escaped with about eighteen hundred dollars, mostly checks and drafts. The blast wrecked the bank, with the front blown out and part of the safe roof, while two freights passed shortly after the last explosion. The bank had five thousand dollars in insurance, so the loss is estimated at not less than three thousand dollars.

Governor lifts quarantine on Kansas Nebraska Missouri horses
Acting on the state stock board recommendation Governor Shaffroth raised the quarantine today five weeks after it was imposed on horses and mules from Kansas Nebraska and Missouri. Officials said the disease that killed thousands of horses in those states has practically disappeared.

Thomas Brestenham and wife report their son Frank Brestenham a 29 year old lawyer killed by a gun shot in New Mexico. He had aided in criminal prosecutions against outlaws and had received warnings to desist. He practiced eight years, graduated from Valparaiso law school, and will be buried in Clinton, Oklahoma.

Threshers Row Ends In Killing In Williston
A Williams county threshing crew quarrel led to James Fowler shooting and killing Wm. Griffen near Avoca. Griffen pursued Fowler before being shot in the abdomen. Griffen died next morning. Fowler, arrested in Williston, faces murder charges with a preliminary hearing pending. Coroner’s inquest scheduled.

Seared tragedy as 14 year old loses leg in farm machinery accident
