Explosion injures miner at Bruegger Coal mine
A delayed dynamite blast at Bruegger Coal mine, 64 miles northeast of town, severely injured Leo Alger, 28, a single miner. The third explosion tore into his face and right eye, surgery at hospital saved the eye but vision remains doubtful. left eye bruised with no expected vision loss. Clerk of Court A H Brown received notice from Judge E B Goss that a district court jury term will be held in the city on December 19 with a panel of thirty petit jurors to be drawn. Fifty criminal cases and about forty civil suits are queued for hearing. rumor says Judge Crawford of Dickinson may preside replacing Judge Goss. The regular petit jurors report December 20 after citizenship matters and calendar are set.
