Red Cross Mobilizes Across Brown County for Influenza Care
The Red Cross and Brown County health officials direct five emergency hospitals in Aberdeen Columbia Hecla Westport and Fredrick to treat influenza and pneumonia with trained nurses and regular doctor visits. Brainerd Minnesota Red Cross fed 75 Home Guards aiding fires near Kimberly and Tamarack and deployed canteens and medical staff to Aitkin. War Department launches follow up system to report minor soldier casualties with their names and injuries.
