Bad wreck near Minot injuries none feared
Minot North Dakota May 18 1902 a bad wreck occurred 12 miles west of Minot on the Great Northern when engine No 4 derailed after colliding with a freight train. Three stock cars were wrecked to kindling and the crew swapped engines then the freight engine backed two and a half miles colliding with the retreating train. No fault determined and No 4 delayed 17 hours. One engineer to have a game ankle.
