Great Northern plans 350 mile Montana rail extension

The Great Northern announces a 350 mile line from Haucks to Mondak with Lewistown and from Great Falls toward Mondak. The route would pass Flat Willow creek country to Musselshell river and open Fergus and Dawson counties to settlement. Guards and claim agents will secure rights of way, with condemnation suits possible if needed. The project aims to connect with the main line at Mondak and boost eastern Montana commerce.

Trip Through Europe with Rev P J Henness Heading Abroad

Railroads Battle Over McHenry County Right of Way

Minot North Dakota May 16 Judge Burr granted the Great Northern a temporary injunction halting Soo Line interference with its land for right of way in southeastern McHenry county. The case stems from a contested deed involving farmer Albert Plattes and a later cash sale to a buyer who turned out to be a Soo Line agent. Records show irregularities later corrected by the McHenry County Register of Deeds H H Berg.

Minneapolis Jobbers Visit Williston Welcomed by Town

The Minneapolis wholesalers will arrive by a special train next Monday evening at six forty, stay overnight, and depart Tuesday morning at seven. Williston will greet them with a welcoming rally aided by the local band, followed by an automobile tour and calls on local businessmen.
