First Library Anniversary Celebrated at Williston
May eighth marked the library's first anniversary with 14 903 books circulated, 6 700 juvenile and 8 208 adult, an average of 1 242 per month. March circulation reached 1 652, 945 borrowers registered, 568 adults and 377 juveniles, averaging sixteen books per reader.

Accidental Gunshot Wounds a Medicine Lake Boy
Gregory Breen fifteen of Medicine Lake Montana was accidentally shot while duck hunting when a loaded twelve gauge gun discharged as the boat neared shore. The blast ripped flesh from his left arm and peppered his left side with about thirty shot. surgeons in the city treated him hoping to save the arm.

Williston school children in grades five through eight will meet at Library Hall on Wednesday afternoon May 22 at four to form a Junior Civic League. Officers will be elected and a permanent organization created to foster cleanup efforts and garden development behind the Library.
