Tragic double shooting ends in murder suicide

Thorsen shot 18 year old Ermel Willard at her home then killed himself. He had planned to marry her but she refused. The girl, asleep with her seven day old baby, was afterward buried beside her in Williston. Thorsen’s funeral followed in Epping.

Will Prosecute Insurance Agents in Multiple States

After a conference in New York the International Policy holders committee announced a May 15 general committee meeting to decide whether to pursue prosecution of Mutual and New York Life agents in 33 states for alleged forged administration ballots. The move follows alleged ballot forgery affidavits from thousands of policy holders and cites recent arrests of committee manager Scrugham and two employees.

Institute Lodge at Mondak Institute Lodge at Mondak

About twenty five members of the local 1. O. O. F. lodge and the degree team helped establish a Mondak lodge. The visiting team reported a fine time and two banquets. The Mondak lodge begins with roughly 35 members and aims to grow strong with support from Montana lodges and a Buford delegation.

Farmer's Institute Dates Set for June

W B Overson announced the farmers institute will be held in this city on June 11 and 18. North Dakota speakers T A Haverstad conductor Prof Thos Shaw and Andrew Elliott will attend. The event features top state farming authorities and Williams county farmers are urged to attend with Montana authorities sought for cooperation.
