Obituary of Minerva F. Simmons in Rose Valley near Tren ton NC
Minerva F. Simmons died suddenly at her Rose Valley home on March 1 1908. Born April 29 1844 she married Francis M Simmons Sr on May 1 1862 in Brown County Illinois. She joined the New Light Christian church in 1867 and lived a faithful life. She and her husband had five children George W Francis M Hiram T Sallie and Mary Elizabeth with one daughter predeceasing her. Funeral was March 3 1908 at the home of her eldest son George with Rev J K Nelson officiating from John 11 25 26 and burial followed at Williston cemetery.
