A North Dakota city paper reports the Republican State Central Committee sets a May 14 1908 meeting at the Opera House Minot to choose eight delegates to the national convention in Chicago on June 16 1908. Delegates and electors are apportioned by county votes from 1906 with specific county totals listed. credentials must be filed by May 13 at the Leland hotel. Also included is a candidate notice from Howard R Lampman seeking sheriff nomination at the June Republican Primary, outlining his residence and long service with the party.
Tom Olson, Cass County Republican, announces candidacy for North Dakota state auditor and pledges to make Bismarck his home, personally supervise the office, and govern honestly for the people. He cites prior service as Cass County auditor from 1897 to 1903 and emphasizes accountability and board participation.

Elizabeth Sandoa daughter of Mr and Mrs G B Sandoa of this city died Saturday after a pneumonia illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at the M E church conducted by Rev Hollett. The coffin was adorned with flowers and burial took place in Williston cemetery.
