The Nelson Valley Farmers Club invites all farmers and local businesspeople to its Alfalfa Picnic on June 27 at H. A. Nelson’s 130 acre alfalfa farm in Williams County. Speakers include Crane on Effective Co operation Allen on Alfalfa under Dry land conditions Willard on Williams and McKenzie Counties Hoke on Live Stock and Alfalfa. After dinner, entertainment features two bands and a ball game.

Burns Hearing Held Friday In McIntosh County
Samuel Burns faced a preliminary hearing Friday before Justice Panger at McIntosh Ferry for the murder of H. N. Sexae. About fifteen witnesses testified identifying the deceased and Burns was bound over for trial at the October term in McKenzie County with no bail. He remains jailed in Williston after being transported there.

Ivan Metzger returned from Grand Forks after passing the final law course exam. Twenty six candidates were admitted to the bar Monday before Chief Justice Spalding and others. Burdick Special Train Impresses Crowds Across State
The Burdick Special train promoting U L Burdick’s bid for governor drew large crowds from Grand Forks to Rugby and Devils Lake. Attorne y Burdick spoke at each stop while the Williston Concert Band and Fifer Perkins provided music. Fans applauded in Minot Rugby Grand Forks and Berthold as the group returned home Wednesday evening.

June Wedding in Angie Unites McGill and Huss Couple
