Public Worship at 10 30 in the morning and at 7 in the evening. Sunday School at 3 o clock. Christian Endeavor Society meets in the evening. The pastor Rev Guo Exresco invites all to attend for mental moral and spiritual aid.
Engineer John Kendall moves his family to Glasgow. Stewart's harness shop offers lap-casters and styles of Stylish Capes. Local notices report school district elections on June 16, with various business and social updates across Williston and surroundings.

In Williston North Dakota on June 9 1886 the Williams County Board of Commissioners met in special session with Nelson and Moore present and Burgess absent. They accepted a bid from Merchants National Bank Grand Forks as county depository and authorized a $5000 bond plus deposits of available funds. A road poll tax collection in Road District No 1 was ordered and reported at the July meeting. The Williston Poultry Co formed with D Gibbs as president planning 500–600 chickens and 200 ducks, fencing, and ground enclosure. A local anecdote about mushrooms and a mix up over toadstools involves Charley Gibbs Parshal and Mr Landahl ending with a humorous note on identity.
A fragment from a letter by Rev Francis Herman, then in Crookston, mentions places in Montana and North Dakota and hints at his ongoing link to the case of a missing Samuelson girl. Authorities in St Louis claim to have located Herman, the Salt Lake City fugitive preacher charged with double murder, describing their pursuit and the dangers involved.
William Beary William Spears and Billy Griffthy faced an armed confrontation near the Porcupine ranch when two masked men emerged from brush. The assailants Charles Sepphic and Charlie Welaon confronted the trio with six shooters prompting a tense night incident as they rode to safety, details scarce.
A morning special eastward on the Great Northern left a tramp dead near Wheelock about 20 miles east of Williston. The body was found mangled beside the track after No. 3 passed, likely a ride seeker who fell from a rod. The body could not be identified. Nearby, Glasgow reports sheep shearers arriving. 30 000 to 35 000 sheep expected to be shorn, with a plan to plank a bridge over Milk River to aid sheepmen on the south bank.
