Naval and anti submarine forces mobilize along the shoreline to counter the threat as transports continue to France amid improved security. The Edward H Cole a 1791 ton Boston schooner was sunk 75 miles off Highlands New Jersey after two subs attacked and the crew fled.

Catholic Church Dedication Held In Williston May 30
The dedication of a new Catholic Church in Williston took place on Decoration Day with Bishop Wherle of the Bismarck Diocese presiding. About forty visiting priests attended, followed by Pontifical High Mass and a sermon by Rt. Rev. John Carroll of Helena. A dinner and supper were served, and a confirmation class of about thirty five was held in the afternoon.

Seventy Boys to Leave for Camp Dodge June 24
