Young Man Killed by Explosion in North Dakota Shack
Amos Frank Johnson a grandson of Mrs Gillian, about seventeen miles northwest of Williston, was fatally burned in an explosion of blasting powder at a shack on his grandmother's farm last Friday afternoon May 17. He died Tuesday from his injuries. A boy present recalls little due to excitement. The blast likely occurred when a spark from a plow share ignited a keg of blasting powder. The other man was unhurt. Johnson, a about 20, was a printer from Bloomington Illinois who had recently come to North Dakota to live with his grandmother. The body was shipped to Bloomington. Grand Forks undertakers Champion & Meyer prepared him for shipment.

Excellent Musical Treat in Williston on June Ninth
Williston music lovers will hear violinist Charles Riley McCalley at the Methodist church at 8 30 in the evening on Thursday June 9.
