Williston Ordinance Sets Bench Marks and Street Elevations

The Williston City Council adopts a standard bench mark at B M I from the Baldwin residence with 100 feet datum and directs six permanent marks by the city engineer. It fixes Main street and Broadway grade maps Exhibit A and B from 1904 as official profiles and lists a detailed sequence of grade elevations along Main street on the east side from block 2% to block 9 in the Brugger addition.

Detailed grade elevations survey of Williston townsite blocks

A fragmented OCR record outlines an extensive linear elevation survey along Broadway and Main Street in Williston North Carolina. It lists numerous block corners with grade elevations ranging from about 89.56 to 99.60 feet above datum, detailing transitions through blocks 19 14 44 M 11 6 3 and others in the Bruegger and original townsite areas, including boundary points at the east corner of block 9 and through blocks 10 11 12 and fractional blocks.
