Rose Hill M E reports visits by M E Scott and Nels Landol near Trenton and Williston. Ben Fedje has a well drilled. Otto Hints suffers a rib injury while moving a rock on the road. Jean Rome visits parents. Florence Olson from St Paul visits Sivensted. Literary Society plans a hard times dance July 29 at the school platform, free for all, weather permitting. Many local visits and social events noted.
John Newman Marmon visited Mrs. William Brooks on Thursday. A busily minded group of Williston businessmen toured the area praising crops. Miss Pauline Loken went to Williston and Marmon defeated Gladys 16 to 5 with coach Thos Wright prominent. Joseph Leffering sold a Marmon farm for 82500. Families visited kin and travelers included Mrs. Thos Freeman visiting Glasgow and Mrs. Frank Smith surprised by a long-lost brother.
Marmon and Miss Fleasie Freeman left her claim in Montans and traveled to the home of her parsote at this place, according to local notes.
Weather turned rainy Saturday night as Clifford Head, previously ill, is now able to be out. Visitors include Mr. and Mrs. A. McNitt and daughter from Williston. A serious accident occurred Monday when Mrs. Leonard Logan’s buggy horse bolted and the buggy toppled, injuring Mrs. Logan’s left arm but she is hoped to recover. Rev. Hollett to preach at Sand Creek schoolhouse next Sunday at 3 PM.

Farmer Fred Zeisler Sr. of Kronthal North Dakota was arrested Thursday by warrants sworn by C L Staley and Gunwald Hoyda on charges of stealing two colts from his pasture on July 15. Zeisler claims the animals are the two colts he lost last fall and he has refused to return them. Trial before Justice Moon at Krem is set for July 26, with high interest expected.
A convict named Adams at the Bismarck North Dakota penitentiary attacked Guard B E Jones after lunch in a field, struck him with iron, and later with a pitchfork, then fled two miles before being captured by two farmers. Jones is hospitalized.
