Terrific cyclone devastates Regina leaving many dead

A cyclone struck Regina Saskatchewan last evening killing at least forty one and injuring hundreds. Debris blocks streets as doctors and nurses rush to aid the wounded. The new parliament building is badly shaken, several churches and the Y M C A are wrecked, and 600 families are left homeless as relief begins.

Runaway Horses Warn Williston Residents

In a recent week two runaways caused damage though no injuries. One wagon was badly smashed and another horse broke its neck after a fall. Officials urge residents to tie horses on Main Street to prevent further incidents and protect others.

Farewell party for Mrs Charles Ewalt in church basement

The Ladies Aid of the Methodist church surprised Mrs. Charles Ewalt with a farewell party last Thursday in the church basement. She has been an active aid member for years and is leaving Williston. She received a set of sterling silver knives and forks as a token of friendship. The room was decorated with wild flowers and refreshments were served. E. O. Staine of Abercrombie is visiting his son A. J. Stafne in town.
