Com r T C Gaines reported as the Wednesday speeding bia bay trotter. Frazer Smith left for Seattle likely to stay indefinitely. H A Nelson was in from his ranch socializing with merchants last Saturday. Frank F Davis and cousin Miss Lillie Burridge visited Miss Nelson last week. J Sherry rented Mrs R Newell’s Broadway house and will move soon. Miss Thura Truax returned from Minot last Monday. Mrs Benson, visiting last week, returned to Chilcot below Grinnell on Saturday.
Pianos, Prof Brownson returns from Hedderich roundup tanned and hearty. Fred Rounsaville arrives from White Earth with a horse flesh entry for races on the fourth. Frank OBrien from Chilcott buys a paddle from T C Stewart. A G N weet wreck near Glasgow injures engineer and fireman. George Harvey rents Ross’s blacksmith shop. Gus Hedderich leaves for St Paul. Geo Newton’s horse and C A Bryant’s mare race trotting half a mile for 35 at 7:30 this evening. mare favored.

The firm pledges to assume all obligations and continue the liberal patronage offered by the old firm. Also notes Mrs Bellinger's new bakery serves tea, cream and cake on select evenings.
L. W. At Luamon of North American Live Stock Commission Co. announces a new commission base at St Paul Union Stock Yards and Chicago to handle cattle and sheep. He cites Swift Armour and other buyers, notes South St Paul market strength and options to ship stock via Chicago or St Paul, offering market reports and free access to readings for buyers.
