Williams County Board Minutes 1901 Proceedings Summary

Williams County commissioners met January 7 1901 and adjourned to 1 30 pm. The board chose Wescott as chairman for the year and approved bonds for W B Overson state attorney G M Thowns coroner Wim Snyder county treasurer and J W Truax etc. They opened burial bids for county poor and set tax abatements. Various road wardens and fire wardens were appointed. The county physician bid by F H VanDyke was accepted. The board planned plowing guard work and adjourned to January 11 continuing audits and checks of auditor treasurer clerk of court sheriff and preparing next week’s continuation.
