Late Tuesday Mrs. W B Overson learned by wire that her father Colonel Moses Dillon had died at his New York City home. Death followed a sudden pneumonia attack. King Edward VII Sunk by Mine off London
London January 10 the British battleship King Edward VII was sunk after hitting a mine. The admiralty said the crew was saved with only two injuries. The 16 350 ton battleship, laid down in 1902, measured 453 feet by 78 feet, armed with four 12 inch guns and other naval weapons, had a crew of 777.

Fire destroys Roell Blakey block on Main Street
Fire swept Minot's main business street early Tuesday destroying the three story Roell Blakey block with a $107,000 loss. The blaze started near the furnace, burned from 4 80 to 9 am in twenty below weather, rendering several families homeless and wiping out two big businesses, a smaller business, a studio and two professional offices. Nearby residents fled as fire crews fought the flames with seven water streams for over five hours. Shelter was found at adjacent locations and no one was seriously injured.

W. T. Poe Case Set Again at Helena

Youngstown Ohio January 11 The grand jury began an investigation into Friday night rioting at East Youngstown with more than two arrests reported. A minority may be held pending the outcome of the inquiry directed by Prosecuting Attorney F Henderson of Mahoning County. Gates at Youngstown Sheet and Tube were reopened and preparations made to resume operations. Many workers reported confusion and fear among laborers.
