Spring Liberty Loan Drive Calls for Nine Billion

The upcoming spring drive aims to raise nine billion dollars for war costs and postwar needs. Oyster Bay N Y Jan 6 Colonel Theodore Roosevelt died in his sleep at Sagamore Hill after a long battle with rheumatism and sciatica. He had been ill since New Year’s day and underwent multiple hospital visits and operations before passing away quietly at 4 a.m. The death was confirmed by Mrs Roosevelt and Miss Stricker with funeral arrangements set for Wednesday.
