First Institute Grand Success in Williams County
The first Farmers Institute in Williams County held February 19 and 20 in Williston drew strong local interest. Leaders Professors Hoverstad Litchard Churchhill Linfield and others outlined soil preparation grain varieties smut treatment formaldehyde, grasses, irrigation and alfalfa. Attendees from area farms discussed results and future gains in grain, dairying, stock and poultry.

Methodists Celebrate New Church and Fundraising Effort
Sunday February 11 marked a faith filled day for Williston Methodists. Presiding Elder Moore delivered two sermons and baptized Mr. and Mrs. McAvory’s children at home. The church's interior impressed attendees as offerings ran to 280 dollars from a 56 square board appeal. The congregation now reports debt free status and pride in the fine edifice.
