Suffocated Worker Falls Into Mill Bin at New Ulm
Jobp Hahn, an Eagle Roller mill employee, suffocated Friday after slipping into a shorts bin chute while clearing a clog. Foreman Herzog had sent him to release the packing. Hahn and others rushed to free him, but he died within moments after being rescued. He left four sons employed at the mill.

Arm torn off by elevator at Mooreton farm
Edwin Sether, 25, in charge of the Downing farm elevator at Mooreton, had his arm torn off when he reached into a clogged conveyor to loosen it. He was rushed to St Francis hospital after the freight crew sped from Barney to Wahpeton in twenty minutes. Sether, a Mooreton native, was resting easily with expected recovery.

Measurements taken for the U S Geological Survey under Prof E F Chandler show exceptionally low river flows in North Dakota this winter. Mouse river at Minot dropped to 94 cfs on Dec 21, Pembina at Neche to 34 cfs on Jan 27, Red Lake and Red near Grand Forks to 434 and 444 cfs respectively. Floods of 1904 1906 reached thousands of cfs, vastly higher than current levels.
