Engineer Frozen to Death Near Lizard Lake

Battleford Manitoba February 18 Engineer Vance of the Canadian Pacific exploration party on a new Edmonton line was found frozen to death near Lizard Lake forty miles east of the exploration. He had sent his driver ahead to prepare camp and followed on snowshoes. Intensely cold weather spans Wyoming with heavy snow cover and severe stock losses as cattle and sheep weaken under deep snow.

Minnesota Legislature Debates Primary Law Exemption Bill

In St Paul on February 17 Senator Morgan proposed removing Congress and district and supreme court judges from primary nominating, shifting primary date to October from June.
