Mountrial Sues For Settlement In Public Property Case
Minot February 2 Assistant States Attorney Linde of Mountrail county is in the city with a writ of mandamus to force the county commissioners to show cause why a settlement should not be made by law. The dispute centers on whether roads bridges and public buildings are state or county property. The ward county board argues roads and bridges are state property and objects to including them in any settlement and that public buildings should be valued at present value with depreciation deducted. The issue will go to district court then to the supreme court for final settlement.
