Farmers Dedicate New Packing Plant in Minnesota Co-op
The dedication of the largest cooperative enterprise in southern Minnesota drew about 1,000 stockholders to the Fairbawn plant of the Farlt Packing & Provision Company. Stockholders, representing 93 percent of shares, traveled from Zumbrota Blooming Prairie St Peter New Ulm and Waterville. Guetta of Waterville presided and announced the plant will be ready to receive hogs and cattle January 2. The cooperative has 500000 dollars in capital stock. the plant cost 200000 and can process 1000 hogs daily.
