Robert Miller Jr. was arrested on horse stealing charges and an assault with a dangerous weapon claim. A hearing before Justice Poe was continued until August 28. Miller had been herding cattle for Jud Miller when they wandered into a neighbor’s fox field and he fired on the farmer who tried to intervene.

Recital Praised Miss Blanch Lynch At Williston Concert
Friday evening's recital by Miss Blanch Lynch with Prof. Onstad and Mrs. Abell drew praise for her soprano voice and the strong clarinet and piano solos. The event drew a smaller crowd than hoped, and organizers hope for future visits. Optical specialist C J Sullivan from Fargo will visit Williston August 26 and 27 to fit or update glasses.
