Ole Ulven visited Neeson on Wednesday. Frisch and Banks finished cutting hay on the Carey bottom. More hay has been cut in the Newson valley this year than ever before. Geo McKay is busy with a new binder cutting wheat oats barley and flax for neighbors Art and Willis Wilkinson have put up about thirty tons of hay. The board of subcommittee direction rejected all bids for the addition to the school house as too high. A hailstorm caused damage in the valley with stones as large as door knobs. At Hungry Gulch hail four inches deep. A well-digger found good water at about 75 feet near Schiroeder's place and is at Billy Wilkinson's.
